What will people think when they hear that I'm a Jesus Freak?
What will people do when they find out that it's true?
I don't really care if they label me a Jesus Freak
Cause there ain't no disguising the truth.
Toby McKeehan and Mark Heimermann
The fact that God permits physical and even moral evil is a mystery that God illuminates by his son Jesus Christ, who died and rose to vanquish evil.
Faith gives us the certainty that God would not permit an evil if he did not cause a good to come from that very evil; by ways that we shall fully know only in eternal life.
I pray you'll be our eyes
and watch us where we go
and help us to be wise
in times when we don't know.
Let this be our prayer
when we lose our way
lead us to the place
guide us with your grace
to a place where we'll be safe.
Russell Watson
When the angel Gabriel came to Mary, he told her, 'The Holy Spirit shall come upon you and the power of the Most High shall overshadow you.' And she answered, 'Behold the handmaiden of the Lord, be it onto me according to your word.' It was in this submission, this surrender and obedience, that Christ was conceived. And it is the laying down of power that is revealed in his birth. Christ did not spring armed from the head of Zeus. He came as a chid.
Philip Britts
I prefer to rejoice in what I can do - not mourn what I can't!

As I was weeping and crying,
And fell to my knee,
I heard the Lord's voice,
He was speaking to me.
He said there would be no more sin, no more lies,
Only peace and happiness
In all of my cries.
Anon.
It is said that there are more Christian martyrs today than there were in 100AD - in the days of the Roman Empire. According to the World Christian Encyclopaedia, there were close to 164,000 Christians martyred around the world in 1999. An estimated 165,000 will be martyred in 2000.
I wouldn't trade my life for anyone else's. If I could choose not to have cancer, and continue my life as it was, I wouldn't do it.
Matt Gauger
"Without the correction, the reflection, the support of other presences, being is not merely unsafe, it is a horror."
